It has been about 6 months since our Chef, Alek Kubicki, has taken over the reigns here at Jargon, and we wanted to properly recognize him and the amazing work he has done to elevate Jargon's cuisine to the next level! Alek grew up in Orange County, California, where he first found his love for cooking by helping his grandmother prepare traditional polish dishes. He worked in a variety of kitchens since he was 14 and went on to sharpen his skills at culinary school in Seattle. Driven by ambition and curiosity, he made his way to Brooklyn, NY, where he was an important part of the team at Claro that achieved a Michelin Star.
He moved to Asheville, NC and was Jargon's Executive Sous Chef in 2022, and left briefly to take the Chef position at Mother which earned a prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2025 for high quality, high-value food.

He is now back as Jargon's Executive Chef bringing the culmination of experience and passion for the culinary arts to our restaurant in West Asheville! Our menu changes daily, focusing on seasonality and availability of fresh local ingredients, so we invite you to check out our menu on our website or stop in to see the exciting and delicious menu Chef Alek is offering!
