A small change, but an important one—

Our final lunch service will be May 31st, and we’ll be stepping away from lunch starting June 1st.

If you’ve been meaning to join us midday, this is your moment—we’d love to have you in for one last lunch before the transition.

Dinner isn’t going anywhere. We’ll continue service Wednesday through Monday from 5pm–9pm, focusing on what we do best.

❄️🔥 Snow is coming, but we’ll be OPEN tonight🔥
Last weekend’s weather affected many in our area, especially those in the service industry. With safety as our top priority for both our staff and our guests, we made the decision to close last weekend. Tonight however, with conditions allowing, our doors will be open and the fire roaring!
As a small, family-owned, independent restaurant, this time of year is our slow season, and every visit to our dining room directly supports our staff. If you’re able to travel safely, we’d love to welcome you by our fire!

Asheville Proper is hiring a professional bartender/server to join our front-of-house team!

This full-time role focuses on Friday & Saturday night bartending ($11/hr + tips and tip out), with additional serving shifts during the week ($2.13/hr + tips). Expect an average of 4 shifts/week.

We’re casual during lunch and upscale at dinner, so we’re looking for someone who’s confident in both environments.

Our hours:
