Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1, The Hop Ice Cream is releasing dairy and vegan Pumpkin Ice Cream! It is made with Lee's One Fortune Farm Kabocha squash, a Japanese variety of pumpkin known for its rich, naturally sweet flavor and creamy texture. The Hop roasts the pumpkins, purees them with a blend of choice seasonal Spicewalla spices, and mixes them directly into their dairy or vegan pea-protein base.

The Hop's Pumpkin Ice Cream will remain on the menu through most of October.

Next time you come by The S&W Market, be sure to check out Fluvial, part of Asheville’s Urban Art Trail.

Created by local metal artist Rachel David of Red Metal, Fluvial is a striking public art installation AND a functional seating sculpture. Inspired by the Art Deco architecture of the historic S&W Building, it reimagines the long-vacant Station #7 on the Urban Trail and invites visitors to pause and take in downtown Asheville.

One of our favorite moments from yesterday’s Visit Asheville gathering was looking down from the mezzanine and seeing the food hall filled with people connecting, sharing stories and enjoying great local food.

Made with fresh peaches from Lee's One Fortune Farm, this seasonal favorite is available in both dairy and vegan versions. Sweet, refreshing and full of local flavor, it’s the perfect summer treat.

Plus, The Hop debuts Southern Comfort Ice Cream in dairy and vegan versions on Friday, August 14, also made with peaches from Lee’s One Fortune Farm. This longtime seasonal favorite combines fresh peaches and bourbon for a rich summer flavor inspired by a recipe dating back to 2009.
