Happy National Rice Krispie Treat Day! 🥣✨ Nothing beats the classic, extra-gooey original! Here is our go-to 15-minute recipe for the softest, most delicious treats every single time.

​Prep time: 10 mins | Cook time: 5 mins | Yield: 12 squares

​🛒 Ingredients:
​3 tbsp unsalted butter
​10 oz mini marshmallows (plus 1 extra cup reserved for mixing in at the end!)
​1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
​1/4 tsp fine sea salt
​6 cups crisp rice cereal

​🍳 How to Make Them:
​Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter or line with parchment paper.
​Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat. Add the marshmallows and salt, stirring constantly until completely melted and smooth.
​Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
​Gently fold in the crisp rice cereal (and that extra cup of unmelted mini marshmallows for those extra gooey pockets!).
​Transfer to your pan and press down gently—don't pack them down too tightly if you want to keep them soft and chewy!
​Let them set at room temperature for 30–60 minutes, slice into 12 squares, and enjoy!
