TONIGHT AT THE PATT | ANTHONY KRIZAN BAND

We’ve been looking forward to this one.

Tonight we’re very excited to welcome Anthony Krizan and his band to The Patt for the first time. Anthony has one of those résumés where you start reading it and realize pretty quickly that this dude has been everywhere.

Former lead guitarist for the Spin Doctors. He toured opening for the Rolling Stones and the Allman Brothers, spent years playing alongside Jimi Hendrix Experience bassist Noel Redding, and is an original member of Amphibian with Phish lyricist Tom Marshall. As a songwriter, he co-wrote “Stand By My Woman” with Lenny Kravitz, wrote and recorded with the Spin Doctors, and has worked with artists including John Waite and Gretchen Wilson.

But the résumé is only part of it. Anthony’s own music lives somewhere between rock & roll, blues, soul and that dirty, swampy groove that just feels good in a room like ours.

And he’s bringing an absolutely killer band with him tonight, including some faces you may recognize from The Patt. Hummel. Shews. Biglin. These guys can PLAY.

Really excited to have all of them in the room and see where this one goes.

TONIGHT | 8–11PM

Tonight at The Patt, we close out an incredible summer of Hand Picked by Joe Cirotti with a pairing that has connections running in every direction.

Joining Joe tonight are Mike Alexander and Luke Youngman, and these three have a whole lot of musical history between them.

Mike is one of the original members of the Joe Cirotti Trio, and he and Joe have been making music together for years. There’s a deep friendship there, and the kind of musical connection that only comes from spending a whole lot of time playing together.

Luke Youngman, lead guitarist of Diamond Eye Jack, has become a familiar face on our stage and one of our favorite players to watch. And now Luke and Mike are making music together in Dirty Strings, another killer project that has quickly become part of The Patt family.

So tonight, all those different threads come together.

Joe Cirotti. Mike Alexander. Luke Youngman.

Three great players, a ton of history, and absolutely no telling where they’re going to take it. This one should have some serious musical fireworks.

Come spend the final Hand Picked of the summer with us before we roll right into our post-Labor Day run.

What a summer it’s been.

Tonight marks our final official Wednesday Open Mic of the summer here at The Pattenburg House, and we’re welcoming back Bryan Hansen to host what is sure to be an incredible night.

Open Mic has become one of our favorite nights of the week. Every Wednesday, we get to watch familiar faces come back to the stage, new musicians walk through the door for the first time, friends jump in together, and this incredible local music community continue to grow. You never quite know what you’re going to hear or who’s going to show up, and that’s exactly why we love it.

Whether you’ve been playing for years, you’re working up the nerve to play in front of a room for the first time, or you just want to grab some dinner and a drink and support local live music, come spend Wednesday night with us.

OPEN MIC WEDNESDAY
Hosted by Bryan Hansen

Sign-up starts around 7PM
Music starts at 8PM and goes until the last person plays

As we close out an incredible summer at the Pattenburg House, we just want to say thank you.

To the guests who have been with us for years, the new faces we’ve gotten to know this summer, and everyone who walked through our doors for the first time and has since become a familiar face, thank you. Thank you for supporting us, supporting these musicians, and continuing to show up for local live music.

This summer gave us a lot to be grateful for. Packed rooms, beautiful days and evenings outside, new friendships, old friends, great meals, and a whole lot of music. None of it happens without the artists who trust us with their music and the people who come out to hear it.

Fall is around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited about what we have planned. Different season, same goal. Good food, great music, and a place where people can spend a few hours together and hopefully leave with a memory.

As we head into Labor Day weekend and the unofficial end of summer, it’s also worth remembering what the holiday is about. Labor Day is a celebration of the working people who built our communities and continue to keep them moving every day. To our own hardworking crew, to the musicians who make a living doing what they love, and to all of you who work hard all week and choose to spend some of your time off with us, we appreciate you.

Here’s what’s happening this week:

WEDNESDAY 9/2 | OPEN MIC | 8PM
We start where we always do. Open Mic Wednesday. Come play, come listen, bring something new, or just grab a seat and see where the night takes us. One of our favorite traditions at the Pattenburg House.

THURSDAY 9/3 | HAND PICKED BY JOE CIROTTI | 6:30PM
Joe welcomes Mike Alexander and Luke Youngman for this week’s Hand Picked, and there are a couple of great connections here. Mike is one of the original members of the Joe Cirotti Trio, so he and Joe have a long musical history together. These days, Mike and Luke are also bandmates in the Dirty Strings Band, giving the two of them a chemistry all their own. Bring those relationships together for a Hand Picked night and there’s a lot of musical history, familiarity and trust on that stage. Three great players who know each other well, with plenty of room to see where the music takes them.

FRIDAY 9/4 | THE ANTHONY KRIZAN BAND | 8PM
We’re incredibly excited to welcome Anthony Krizan to the Pattenburg House. Anthony’s résumé speaks for itself. He was a lead guitarist for the Spin Doctors, has shared stages with the Rolling Stones and the Allman Brothers, and co-wrote Lenny Kravitz’s “Stand By My Woman.” His own band lives somewhere in that killer intersection of rock, blues, soul and swampy groove. This is a serious player and songwriter bringing a serious band into our room.

SATURDAY 9/5 | JIMMY LEAHEY & THE GMG | 8PM
Jimmy Leahey returns with the Gray Man Group. Jimmy started playing guitar at seven under the guidance of his father, respected New Jersey jazz guitarist and teacher Harry Leahey, and went on to tour and record with artists including John Waite, Patty Smyth, Martha Davis, Gloria Gaynor and Alison Krauss. He’s also one of those players we’re simply always happy to have back in the house.

SUNDAY 9/6 | THE FLEXIBLE FLYERS | 4PM
We close the holiday weekend with the Flexible Flyers. Four longtime veterans of the New Jersey music scene whose collective history runs through bands including Blues Elixir, Cowtown, Freewheelin, Blue Sparks From Hell, Kinderhook and The Tones. Americana, blues, classic rock and country rock make this exactly the kind of Sunday afternoon we want around here.

Thank you for an incredible summer. Thank you for believing in what we do. And most importantly, thank you for continuing to support live music.

We’ve got a hell of a fall ahead of us.

Music Lives Here.

08/28/2026

A quick reminder that The Pattenburg House will be closed today as our crew takes a little time for some team building, house cleaning, and getting things dialed in for the busy months ahead.

We’ll be back at it tomorrow when Divided Sky, A Tribute to Phish returns to The Patt. We’re looking forward to a great Saturday night together.

We also want to take a moment to remember Mel Allen, who we sadly lost yesterday.

Mel graced our stage many times over the years and was a fixture in the Hunterdon County music community. We’re grateful for every night he spent here, every song he shared, and all the good times that came along with them.

Our condolences go out to Mel’s family, his friends, his fellow musicians, and everyone who knew and loved him. We’ll be thinking about him and remembering the music and the memories he left behind.

Rest easy, Mel. 🫶🏼

The last Thursday in August, and what a summer it’s been for Hand Picked by Joe Cirotti.

We started this project back in May, and Thursday nights at The Patt have taken on a life of their own. If you’ve spent a Thursday with Joe and the artists he’s brought through these doors, you already know what he’s been building.

And on the last Thursday of every month, we get The Hand Picked Players.

Last month Caleb was away and we had an incredible player step in behind the kit. Tonight, all four of the boys are back together:

Joe Cirotti on guitar
Joe Biglin on keys
Wayne Lyle on bass
Caleb Estey on drums

We love every week of Hand Picked, but there’s no denying how much we look forward to this lineup. Four players of this caliber, in this room, playing off each other and taking the music wherever it wants to go. It’s easily one of our favorite Thursdays of the month.

Come close out an amazing summer of Hand Picked with us tonight.

Music starts at 6:30pm.
$20 entertainment fee added right to your check. Easy peasy.

See you tonight at The Patt.
