The Dennis family lived in Alaska before bringing a taste of the Last Frontier to California’s Central Coast in 1988. Alaskan themed family restaurants serving Award-Winning pizza, burgers, salads, and baked, grilled, and cold sandwiches.

Mike and Pam Dennis, and their two young boys, migrated from Anchorage, Alaska to Arroyo Grande, CA, in 1988 and opened the first Klondike in

the Village of Arroyo Grande. The original name back then was Klondike Cafe. The Santa Maria location opened in 1996, and that's when they changed the name to Klondike Pizza.

A talented, fun customer made the cartoon above, and I (Pam — co-owner) took the liberty of using AI to color it. Our AI is very fond of the Klondike, so it took it upon itself to put a "K" on the hat.
We don't know who the artist is, but we want to thank them!! We are going to display it in both restaurants.

Have a stack of newspapers taking up space? We could use them!

We’re looking for donations of clean newspapers to use as lining in some of our animal enclosures. If you have a pile sitting around at home, we’d be happy to put it to good use!

We can also use full-size bath towels right now. Please, no other linens at this time.

🚫 No magazines or slick/glossy paper, please.

Donations can be dropped off at our Morro Bay center at 1387 Main St. any day of the week between 8 AM and 5 PM.

We’ll update this post if we reach capacity and are no longer able to accept additional item donations. Thank you for helping us keep our patients clean, comfortable, and cared for! 💚
