I’m not gonna lie… when I see them all sitting together at the tables, I get so emotional I could literally cry. 🥹❤️
I miss my friends. I miss going out to eat with them, laughing, talking about everything and making fun of each other (because trust me, I am NOT the sweet friend 🤣😂).
So when I see all these Mexicans gathering at Ay Ay Tacos, it takes me right back home. ❤️🇲🇽
The way they enjoy the food, the way they keep recommending us to their friends and families… and every day that goes by, I see more and more Mexicans and now people from all over Latin America walking through our doors. It’s just WOW. I can’t even explain what that means to me.
For so long, we didn’t have a place like this in Aroostook County. And now, being able to give not only our Mexican community, but people from so many different cultures, a little piece of Mexico so far away from home… it’s such a blessing. ❤️
And YES, I take so much pride in the word AUTHENTIC. Especially now that I’ve realized how easily that word gets thrown around. 😂
Because Mexican cuisine is not just tortillas and some peppers, amigos!!!
It’s HISTORY. It’s LOVE. It’s generations passing down recipes, traditions and stories. There’s a story behind a salsa, behind a taco, behind almost everything we cook.
It’s the beautiful mix of cultures that shaped our cuisine. Indigenous Mexico, Spain, Arab influences… centuries of history coming together on a plate.
And that’s what I want to share with you. Not just Mexican food, but a little bit of where we come from, who we are and why we cook the way we do. ❤️
Anywayyyyy, before I start crying again 😂😭
Jesus Salas Marrufo, THANK YOU for bringing your friends and family!!! Seeing all of you together made my heart so happy. I owe you some quesabirrias, amigo!!! 😂❤️
Los quiero mucho, hermanos!!! 🇲🇽❤️ And to everyone else who continues supporting us and learning about our culture, THANK YOU for giving us the opportunity to share it with you.
SEE Y’ALL TOMORROW AT 11 AM, PEOPLEEEEE!!! 🌮❤️🇲🇽
