✨ THANK YOU ✨ for another amazing year at the Clay County Fair! 🎡

This year definitely gave us some UNfair weather 🌧️🥶, and we are especially grateful to every single person who braved the cold and rain and stopped by our booth for a Frozen Parrot treat. 9 days at the fair is always a whirlwind, and we truly can’t thank you enough for continuing to show up and support our small business year after year. We loved seeing all of you and being part of everything that makes the Clay County Fair the “World’s Greatest County Fair!”

And now… we’re officially shifting to sweater weather season! 🍂🍎🎃

Starting TOMORROW, Sept. 26, our hours will change to:

Saturday 3PM - 9PM
Sunday 3PM - 8PM

We’ve got fall flavors coming, plenty of gelato and pops, and a few more weekends to enjoy The Coolest Treats in Okoboji before the season comes to an end.

And we’re off! It’s Day 1 Clay County Fair 🎡 Reminder - the shop is closed during the Fair. But you can find us in the Events Center Building! Just look for this amazing display by Boji Balloon Bar. 🤯

We joined the Fair in 2022 and opened our shop in 2023. Holly & Morgan have designed our balloon displays in both locations since the beginning. We always love everything they design and they nailed it again with this one! 😍

Us: Ok, we’re good. That’s more gelato than we need.

You: That’s cute. 😂

Even though we planned and prepared for a busy Labor Day weekend, the turnout last night was WILD.

Because of that, we simply don’t have enough product left to open today. We hate having to close our doors a day earlier than planned, and we’re so sorry to anyone who planned to stop in.

To everyone who chose to spend part of your holiday weekend with us, thank you for showing up, standing in line, bringing your families and friends, and keeping us on our toes all night. We are incredibly grateful. 💛

And can we talk about our team for a minute? Because WOW. The biggest shoutout of all goes to them. We were very short-staffed as the evening went on, and as the line wrapped around the building inside and out, they just kept going. We have the BEST team and I have never been more proud. 🥹

So, with all of that said, The Frozen Parrot will be CLOSED today and will remain closed until after the Clay County Fair.

Thank you for an incredible Okoboji summer! We’ll see you at the Fair, and then we’ll be back at the shop to welcome you again with delicious fall flavors. 🍎🍂🦜
