Bayou Teche Brewing and Cajun Saucer will be closed today, Tuesday August 25th. Much of our public space was heavily damaged by fire and we’ll need to repair. No one was injured which we are so grateful for. Thank you to all the local firefighters who saved our building. We look forward to serving you guys again just as soon as we can.

Wednesdays are for Spaghetti Grand-Mère
Old-fashioned Cajun spaghetti like our grandmothers cooked with ground beef, pork sausage, tomatoes, the trinity, and a touch of dark roux.

Sunday Brisket is beginning to feel less like a special and more like a responsibility. Cigar Johnny’s been up since o’dark 30 tending the fire.

We slow-smoke the brisket until it is tender, slice it and serve it with dirty rice, beans, coleslaw and house barbecue sauce. It is the kind of plate that makes Sunday afternoon plans seem unnecessarily ambitious.

Available today from open until close for dine-in or takeout, while it lasts. Come help us decide whether brisket should become a permanent Bayou Teche Sunday tradition.

Fire. Butter. Smoke. Oysters.

That is our kind of Friday meeting.

Today’s Bistro du Jour is Chargrilled Oysters avec Saucer Sauce, cooked over open flame until the sauce is bubbling, the edges begin to curl and every piece of bread at the table suddenly has a purpose.

Available from open until close for dine-in or takeout, while today’s supply lasts. Come early—the grill is hot, but the oyster pile is not bottomless.

Thursday has officially gone French.

Today’s Bistro du Jour is Steak Frites avec Sauce Matis: a beautifully cooked steak, a pile of crispy fries and the sauce Chef Matis created to make the whole plate disappear faster than good manners should allow.

This is part of our new Bistro du Jour trial, and your appetite gets a vote. Come try it and tell us whether Steak Frites deserves a permanent Thursday at Bayou Teche.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM ARNAUDVILLE 🚨

Several witnesses have reported seeing a large, blue, extremely hairy creature wandering through town and repeatedly asking:

“WHO GOT COOKIE BUTTA GELATO?”

Officials initially believed it was a rougarou, but the trail of crumbs, empty gelato cups, and suspiciously joyful growling suggest something far more dangerous:

The Cookie Butta Monster. 🍪🍨

Residents are advised to remain calm, secure all spoons, and report immediately to Bayou Teche Brewing—where our house-made Cookie Butta Gelato is available while supplies last.

Please do not attempt to feed the creature.

BISTRO DU JOUR IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS.

We’re bringing a little French bistro spirit to the bayou, one day at a time.

TODAY • STEAK FRITES 🥩🍟
Steak, crispy frites, and Sauce Matis, because apparently ketchup wasn’t French enough for Chef Matis.

FRIDAY • CHAR-GRILLED OYSTERS 🦪🔥
Oysters bubbling over the fire with our Saucer Butter Sauce, because by Friday the bistro has wandered out of Paris and landed squarely in South Louisiana.
