We lost a good one this week.
One of our longtime regulars — 92 years young, coffee-and-keno every morning and and the whole reason we opened our doors at 8:30 even though we really open at 9 — passed away. He’d been coming to Kozy’s since the days when Ray owned the place, and for the past 11 years we’ve been lucky enough to share a small part of his routine.We’ll miss the way he let us harass him, the stories he told, and of course… all the talk about apples. He was part of the fabric of Kozy’s, the kind of customer who becomes family simply by showing up with a smile day after day.
