We are locally owned cafe in Arlington. We roast coffee beans every day in small batches & serve ind

Here at Sense of Place Café, we specialize in roasting and serving only the highest quality, single-origin coffee. Our very own Enzymo Coffee undergoes a natural fermentation process and is then roasted by a SCAE Roasting Professional certified and Q-Arabica Grading certified barista in small batches. This not only allows us to deliver the freshest coffee with optimum flavor to our customers ever

y day, but also results in coffee with lower levels of acidity that is much easier on the stomach, whether it's drip coffee or espresso. We believe drinking coffee should be an experience, and we can guarantee that yours will be truly one-of-a-kind after a cup of coffee from our café.

As many of you have already heard and seen, we have finally decided to close our doors after 5 years. Despite our love for sharing our coffee with the amazing Arlington Forest community, we decided to prioritize Kay’s health over business and close this chapter of our lives.

As a result, we know this may seem sudden to many of you but we are so glad we were able to see many familiar faces during our last weekend and appreciate your understanding!

From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to say THANK YOU x 100 for all of your endless support and love for our humble cafe and roastery— so many great memories and friendships were made the past 5 years and for that we are so grateful! ❤️❤️❤️

Our Enzymo Coffee beans can still be purchased online (https://www.senseofplacecafe.com/enzymo-coffee) via our website only until supplies last, so be sure to stock up on beans before they’re sold out for good! ☕️

We will be CLOSED this Sunday, 4/17 and normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, 4/19 (we are normally closed on Mondays).

Hi SOP fans! Today is your last day to come in and get your fill of our coffee and yummy pastries before we close for a few days for Thanksgiving— we’ll have freshly roasted Enzymo coffee beans and our famous freshly baked blueberry muffins and chocolate chip cookies so stop by to take some home to share with your family and friends 🧡

If you need to make a large muffin order (more than 4) or coffee catering order, please email or DM us ASAP so that we can prepare in advance.

We will be CLOSED from Thanksgiving Day 11/25 through Monday 11/29, as we are usually closed on Mondays. Normal business hours will resume TUESDAY 11/30 at 8am. Thank you!

Good news! 👏🏼 SOP Café & Roastery will be opening up more starting TOMORROW, 7/24 with indoor seating being available once again so you can enjoy our Enzymo coffee and espresso inside our beautiful store! ☕️
❗️Please note, our pour-over bar however still remains closed for seating until further notice.

We thank you for all of your patience as we have been extra cautious with the situation of this pandemic and will continue to take precautions as we slowly open up more. We will continue to use our air sanitation/purifying devices and sanitize surfaces between use. 🧼
As a reminder—if you have NOT been fully vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask indoors. 😷

Hi SOP fans!! We wanted to announce a small change to our business hours moving forward, STARTING THIS WEEK:

on weekdays (Tues-Fri), we will be open
‼️8am - 3pm** ‼️and our weekend hours will remain the same! We will also remain closed on Monday’s as usual.

Hello SOP fans! ‼️ In observance of Independence Day this year, we will be CLOSED from SATURDAY 7/3 - MONDAY 7/5 (usually closed on Monday’s) ‼️

Make sure to swing by before then to get your coffee/tea/smoothie/muffin fix in as well as after starting Tuesday to help you wake up from any 4th of July hangovers and fatigue 😉
