The community is invited to an upcoming public reception to celebrate the accomplishments of Fire Chief Don Crowson, who is retiring after a 40-year tenure with the City of Arlington. Crowson joined ArlingtonTx Fire in 1983 and worked his way through the ranks, becoming the City’s first medical operations chief within 15 years. After holding other chief officer roles, including six years as assistant fire chief, Crowson became Arlington’s fire chief and director of emergency management in 2010. His retirement ceremony is set for 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 at the Esports Stadium Arlington.
