To all my friends and customers , I want to thank you for the loyalty and support on the last 26 years that I been serving Arlington
True all these years I learn a lot from all of you and I fall in love with Arlington , for me my family , and with my loyal employees was the best part of our lives, because we meet a lot of families since 1988 we serve a little boys and girls and them we have the opportunity to see them grow as a teenagers and we were more than happy to see how they became a young parents and once again we serve to another generation of our customers. That is priceless for me and my staff.
As a minority business owner , I am very proud of what we was able to do, we were recognized, for the best food critics in the metropolitan area like Tom Sietsema from the Washington Post , Washingtonian Magazine, ZAGAT survey and others.
Washington Post also put us on the three best Italian Restaurants in the Metropolitan area along with Maestro in Tyson Corners, and Galileo in DC none of which are still in business.
The Bolivian food was a nice combination that called Tom Sietsma to give as a very good write up and I want to thank all my Bolivian customers for such a loyalty that in cases they will come every day to buy our saltenas.
A lot of changes came to Arlington, new buildings a lot of new business and also rent increases that was not realistic.
The great economical problem that hit us since 2009 was number one problem and not easy to resolve. We were hoping that in a couple years we will come back on our feet, but that never happened.
It was very sad to see how things were going down hill and all the progress coming to Arlington bring the increases that we were not able to overcome.
On September 30, 2014 we decide that there was no way for us to continue in business, and it was an extremely sad day for me and my employees. The fact that they stayed with me from the first day to the last, 26 years together living every day as a big family I will keep all of them deeply in my heart.
