ON THIS DAY Aug 24th 2009! Prince aired on Diners Drive Ins & Dives with

Without a doubt, one of the biggest blessings that’s ever happened to the restaurant. Overnight we gained national exposure and had people driving from all across the Metroplex, the state & even the country to come try our family’s food.

I’ll never forget the day, I drove back from college to visit the restaurant and see the kind of crowd Food Network would bring.
The restaurant was a madhouse lol.
We had a line out the door. We had hired a bunch of waitstaff that I didn’t even recognize, the kitchen was slammed with tickets, and guests were piling up to meet Francis. They wanted a photo, an autographed menu or a Restaurant keepsake. It felt like a dream.

My dad was famous!

I jokingly got in line to meet my dad to which he told “move the hell out of the way, grab an apron and get to work”. The fame hadn’t changed him 🤣🤣 There was no joking around.

The Restaurant stayed at Max capacity till the end of the year. We slowly figured out how to operate at that volume and built up a lot of lifetime customers with that exposure.

Looking back I’m so proud of the Prince team, my family and what we’ve been able to accomplish with the love and support of our guests. Crazy how time flies, it’s been 17 years! 🤌🏽🤎

Micah & Robyn Coffey have been lifelong customers of Prince, but somewhere along the way, customers became friends and friends became family. We’ve been blessed to have their friendship and love for so many years.

When they had their son Callan, I remember one of his first foods as a baby being hummus 🤣

Now this post is making me feel OLD because I’ve had the honor of watching that little kid grow into the young man he is today. Smart, hardworking, dedicated, polite… and somehow taller than me now 😭

Tomorrow, Callan leaves Arlington to start college at Texas A&M, and before heading off, he wanted one of his final meals at home to be his favorite… Prince. ❤️
That one means a lot to us.

Brother, we are proud of you. We love you, we’re rooting for you, and we know you’re going to do great things.

Gig ’em 👍🏽 And don’t forget to actually study out there! 😂
