Today is our last day. ❤️🐓🛖
We didn't give you a warning. I'm not even sure we knew how. So instead of a countdown or a goodbye tour, we are just showing up today — like we always have — and this is us telling you now.
In 2020, when the world was falling apart, my wife and I opened The Chicken Hut. We had faith, a dream, and absolutely no idea what we were getting ourselves into. All three of our oldest kids worked these floors — learned what real hard work looks like right here. Our littlest (known at school as the Chicken Hut Princess) grew up in these walls. Meg and I grew here- As a couple, a team, as partners. We grew as a family here — Hell I grew as a Man here and somewhere along the way, we fell completely in love with Arlington and every single person who showed up for us.
Three consecutive years as Arlington's highest-rated chicken restaurant. That wasn't us. That was YOU.
After over five years of blood, sweat, tears, and so much love, we're closing this chapter. Our kids are growing up faster than I ever expected, and we don't want to miss a second of it. This felt like the right time to step back, breathe, and trust God with whatever comes next.
I honestly don't know what the future holds for the Hut later down the road— maybe a food truck one day, maybe catering, maybe something we haven't even thought of yet. But just in case, please don't unfollow this page. If we ever do something again, you'll be the very first to know. You've more than earned that.
Thank you, All. For every order, every kind word, every time you chose us. We love this city. We love this community. We love ya’ll.
We will carry this chapter and all that growth with us into the next chapter.
Thank ya’ll for making it such a memorable one; please share your fav photo or memories in the comments.
See you later.
— Byron, Meg & the whole Chicken Hut family ❤️🐓🛖
