We're giving our putting greens some extra care with deep tine aeration — a process that uses long tines (up to 10–12 inches) to create narrow channels deep into the soil without pulling out big plugs.
Unlike regular core aeration, this goes much deeper to:

Break up hidden compaction layers
Improve water infiltration and drainage
Boost oxygen flow to the roots
Encourage stronger, deeper root systems

Why it matters for our bentgrass greens:
Healthier, deeper roots mean more resilient turf that handles summer heat, traffic, and stress better. It also leads to firmer, smoother, and more consistent putting surfaces over time — with less risk of winter issues like crown hydration.
The greens recover quickly, and the benefits last all season (and beyond). This is part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our course in top shape for you!
