Wanted to post a quick correction. The date of the Arcola Rotary Outing is wrong on the golf calendar. It is August 29th, not the 22nd. Labor Day being later this year led to that outing being a little later in the month than it was been the last couple of years. Sorry for the confusion!

As of now the Men’s tournament is hoping to start around 9:30 or 10 o’clock. Groups that are here we will try to shotgun start to prevent backups and will work in the other groups as they arrive

As of now the tournament is still going forward as planned. Grounds crews are preparing greens at both courses in anticipation of playing. If anything changes here in the next couple hours we will post updates as quickly as possible

As of now we will attempt to get the Douglas County Tournament in, but if we get any additional rain in the overnight/morning hours it could make either course unplayable. We will post an update between 6-6:30 tomorrow morning…Tri-City Country Club

Congratulations to Noah Kauffman, Phil Gingerich, Tyler Drake and Tim Manselle who won The Major yesterday with a score of 14 under in very challenging, windy conditions. Jeremy Miller, Kyle Gingerich, Pauline Gingerich, and Sue Rothe finished 2nd place one shot back at 13 under.

There was a tie for 3rd place at 9 under, and Derrick Herschberger, Randy Murray, Nelson Herschberger, and Freeman Hostetler birdied the first playoff to take third place over Matt Brown, Logan Brough, David Graber, and Jay Gingerich.

Thanks again to everyone who teed it up at the tournament and all people who worked at the clubhouse and course, as well as those who volunteered their time both Friday and Sunday to make this a very successful weekend! Below are the individual contest winners from yesterday’s tournament:
