After a 28 year legacy working then owning Folie douce I am proud and excited to pass the baton to the next generation. Jacob officially took over Folie douce today and will be creating a great north town Arcàta restaurant called The Kitchen Arcata. He’ll be supporting our local organic farmers and businesses and I encourage you to support him. I’ll share his opening dates and more information as it’s available

There is a new energetic young man Jacob negotiating to turn our long loved spot into a great new kitchen serving daily meals inspired by the season. I will update as the agreement moves forward. I’m excited for him, he’s the same age as I was when I started there 28 years ago! To be young again

To all my fellow chefs, owners, etc I have an interested party ready to turn Folie into an Italian restaurant.

He wants to replace some of the equipment with new and I would like to help him auction off some fridges, wolf stove, pans, etc. Anyone that is interested in equipment, or if you have ideas for a flash sale, or want to come and make best offer with a truck to haul same day, please private message me.
