📍 626 Ice Cream

Purchase a hat of your choice, customize the location of your two patches, get a FREE kid's cup soft serve on us as a treat.

For the first time ever, we get to host Residency in-person at 626 Ice Cream! Their team will be on-site with hats for sale and custom patches that they will heat press onto your hat right in front of you.

Residency is the production team behind the majority of merch we have collaboratively released. That means all the embroidery, stitching, and final touches have passed through their loving hands.

It goes without saying, that their craftsmanship and devotion to hard work makes a difference in the apparel they produce. But, the underlying social mission runs much deeper. Residency is a purpose-driven merch and design studio that sponsors trauma therapy for LA residents transitioning out of homelessness. To date, they have sponsored upwards of 400 therapy sessions.

Some key findings from the Residency team:

"Through our work with individuals transitioning out of homelessness, we've witnessed a critical barrier to permanent housing: access to trauma therapy. Without proper mental health support, many struggle to rebuild stability and secure a place to call home. Unfortunately, long wait times and overwhelmed services make it nearly impossible for people to receive the care they need.
At Residency, our merch sales fund trauma therapy, ensuring individuals receive immediate support by directly connecting them with mental health professionals and covering session costs. Every purchase helps remove barriers to healing, bringing people one step closer to permanent housing and long-term stability. Alongside our Therapy Program, we reached 14k hours of supportive employment."

No fast fashion here. Just honest people, putting in hard work, to make merch that lasts and a social impact that lasts even longer. Come meet the founders, learn about their team's work, pick out a hat and apply some custom patches. We would truly be thankful for your support.

New year, new flavor: Nian Gao!

Traditionally, nian gao is a sticky rice cake eaten especially during the Lunar New Year. Our soft serve interpretation begins with the wholesome flavor of sweetened red bean and finishes with the nuttiness of toasted white sesame. Recommended topping pairings include: mochi, red bean & oats, kinako, almonds, walnuts.

Nian gao is also a homophone for "higher year." The wordplay represents growth, progress, and heightened abundance in the coming year. It's been a challenging year for a lot of people around the world, in our immediate communities, and in our own lives. We hope that with this coming year, we all reach greater heights together.

626 Ice Cream Cake
Very limited availability, reservations now open, debuts Friday and Saturday (2/13-2/14)
If we all scream for ice cream, nothing screams "love" like ice cream cake.

Fine ingredients collected from around the world, symbolizing the boundless reaches of love. Vanilla from , one of the only vanilla producers in the world that have experience and an active involvement in the hand-pollinating, sun-curing, and proprietary end processing steps of vanilla. Valrhona chocolate from Tain-l'Hermitage, France, widely considered to be the gold standard of chocolate by professional pastry kitchens. Hazelnuts grown in Tarranoga, Spain. Liqueur from Loire Valley, France.

Thoughtful design process to represent how love is about details and care; the small gestures and quiet movements that whisper "I thought of you" or "I understand you." Black Sugar Vanilla ice cream enrobes a delicate layer of croustillant feullantine. A bright raspberry coulis is cast on top, a crunchy shell of chocolate speckled with hazelnut, and crowned with hearts of love. Each spoonful is meant to eat like a plated dessert, with textural contrast, complimentary flavors, and ratios all intentionally considered.

Whether it's friends, family, a romantic interest, or yourself, there's always someone that deserves your love.

At 626 Hospitality, we stand with protestors in Minnesota and across the country who are striking, boycotting corporate power, and joining together to refuse harm as policy.

The history of Asian immigration in the United States is marked by exclusion written into law. Beginning with the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 and culminating in the Immigration Act of 1924, these policies sought to limit belonging by race and decide who was permitted to arrive, to stay, and to establish roots here. Their legacy remains with us.

We will be open 1/30, but we encourage you to visit us 1/31. As a small, local, community-centered business, remaining open is tied directly to survival. Being open means wages for our staff and continuity for our shop. We have offered employees the choice to take the day off, while keeping hours available for those who need to work.

If you choose to visit today, we will offer No Ice Hong Kong Lemon Tea, free of charge. Tea-time is traditionally shared, and we hope it can support conversation, reflection, and dialogue. We will also be set up as an informational space, with “Know Your Rights Cards” and informational zines available to read and take home. Craft materials and games will be available throughout the evening.

If you visit on the 31st, 20% of our sales will be donated to . They are California’s largest immigrant rights organization with expertise advocating for deportation defense, family unity, and a society fully inclusive of immigrants.

We believe in the power of collective action, as moving together can shift what feels insurmountable. At the same time, for small, businesses, even a single slow day can be the difference between continuity and closure. The work does not end today. Real change lives in the everyday in what you eat, where you shop, who you support, and what you refuse.

Change is not a moment. It is a practice and a daily discipline of care, of protection, of choosing one another.

Thank you for standing with those who protest and for supporting the movement to abolish ICE. Please stay safe, and take care of one another.

New soft serve flavor: Blueberry Fig

As cold weather settles in and winter rains begin, it’s helpful to have a little reminder of sunny days.

Wild blueberries typically have a more tart refreshing profile than their cultivated cousins.

Figs are a natural counterpoint with their jammy texture and honeyed sweetness.

Together, they bring out the best in each other. Juicy and fruity, Blueberry Fig is summer frozen in time.

Please come down to the shop and give it a try! We’d love to see you and hear your thoughts.
