Yep!! The bakery is getting a tenant!! We are officially putting the west side of the building to work! We are so excited to open this new coffee, smoothie, tea shop right here in Arapahoe! Details will be coming soon about official opening date, hours of operation, etc...but for now...please go and follow The Whisk And Willow so you will get the updates hot off the press! And don't hesitate to leave a comment on their original post about what you would like to see available at the shop.

It's officially time to spill the beans... IYKYK!
There has been a suspicious amount of activity happening at Cakin’ Care of Business lately. Equipment arriving. Furniture moving. Walls changing. Deliveries that require explanations. Bryan being handed projects that probably began with the words, “Okay, hear me out…”
You guys have noticed. 👀
So I suppose it’s time to officially introduce:
The Whisk & Willow!! ...again.
What exactly is The Whisk & Willow this time?
Excellent question.
As you may recall, when we built our building in late 2024, we built it with a retail storefront in mind for the future. We didn't plan on opening a retail bakery right away so we used it as a rentable facility while it waited for it's turn. After lots of requests and questions about why we didn't open a coffee shop in it's place, we finally stopped and really thought about that question. There is a pretty big desire for a local coffee, smoothie, frozen tea, baked goodies kind of place here in our community. We figured we have the space and the desire to serve so here we go! If all goes well, we will consider pursuing a liquor license to offer cocktails and use of our 1/4 acre outdoor space in the future. As you can imagine, it will take a bit of capital investment for fencing, etc to get that phase accomplished. But...we just wanted to share what we're thinking and planning for the future!
We also need to make it known that we are putting just as much thought and care into how you get through the door as we are putting into what you'll find once you get inside.
That means we're replacing our notoriously adventurous rock approach with concrete sidewalks, safer gravel in a few places, improving handicap accessibility, and adding exterior lighting, signage and facade improvements to make coming and going safer and easier.
Because “We really hope you come and enjoy” shouldn't be followed by “but watch where you step.”
There is much, MUCH more to come.

Here's where we currently stand...
We are conducting a blind tasting in a couple of days with a chosen group of participants. We have heard your comments, desires, concerns and requests and we are taking the ingredients, recipes, preparations and final products VERY seriously. After some ingredients get different brands tested head to head, we will make our final bulk purchases and finalize some recipe details and then be ready to open our doors officially!
Just like with the bakery goods, we want you to love what is available right here in town. We will remain open to comments, suggestions and constructive feedback while we get everything set up just right. Please be patient with us!!
