Because apparently owning three trilobites with fully developed personalities wasn’t enough, I needed to know what Reginald, Walter, and Archibald would look like as humans.

Then, naturally, I had to join them. 😂

Ladies and gentlemen, I present the official Crystal Haus Fossil Department executive portrait:

🗿 Reginald — Chief Disruption Officer
Refusing to acknowledge my authority, accept responsibility, or make eye contact after his latest incident.

📁 Karissa — Owner, CEO & Reluctant Head of HR
Clutching Reginald’s disciplinary record and reconsidering every decision that led me here.

🎩 Walter — Director of Damage Control & Formal Apologies
Silently communicating, “I tried,” while preparing yet another apology on Reginald’s behalf.

📓 Archibald — Junior Associate, Hope & Optimism Division
Excited for his first day and still blissfully unaware that this is absolutely not part of normal employee orientation.

Somehow, this captured our entire workplace dynamic with alarming accuracy.

I run this fossil asylum.

Putting feelers out there to gauge interest on freeze dried candy corn 🌽 🤤

I know candy corn gets a lot of hate this time of year (and all year? 🤣) but when it’s freeze dried, it is actually delicious. It’s crispy, not waxy. It’s sweet but not overpowering. I am a candy corn lover but freeze dried is legit my favorite way to have it.

So if you would like to purchase some in-store, drop a like, comment, share or interact with this post in any way.

Apparently, mine are Bougie Ass Bitch and Basic Bitch. 😂

There is no in-between. There has never been an in-between. Choose your fragrance accordingly. 💅🏻

All day, I’ve been trying to find the right words to explain how I feel about this day.

I remember walking into my fourth-grade classroom. I remember seeing the attacks on the World Trade Center on the news.

And I remember the fear.

Fear that the world was ending. Fear that we were going to experience war on American soil. Fear for every person whose life had been taken—and fear that my grandmother, who lived in upstate New York, might be among them because, at that age, I had no idea how close she lived to New York City.

Twenty-five years have passed since that terrible day, yet every September 11, those emotions return with startling clarity.

As I reflect this year, I’m choosing to focus not only on the horror of that day, but also on what followed in the days, weeks, and months afterward.

For a time, we were simply Americans.

We weren’t divided by color, politics, or the endless arguments that so often consume us now. We were neighbors. We were families. We were human beings grieving together, helping one another, and doing our best to make it through each day.

We remembered that beneath everything that might make us different, we still belonged to one another.

Today, I remember the lives that were taken, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families whose worlds changed forever, and the unity that carried our country through unimaginable grief.

May we never forget—not only what happened on September 11, 2001, but also who we became for one another afterward.

A perfectly normal Crystal Haus morning conversation:

If the devil can’t reach you, he’ll send you a disobedient trilobite—then watch as you name him, assign him coworkers, document his infractions, and accidentally turn him into your store mascot. 😂

The devil: “That should break her.”

You, opening a fresh folder labeled REGINALD—DISCIPLINARY RECORD: “Cute. Anyway…”

Jesus: deep, exhausted sigh
Guardian angel: “Do I log this as spiritual warfare or an HR matter?”
Walter: 😇
Archibald: 😟
Reginald: throws another sign

😂
