Just want to share with all of our loyal employees and customers thru the years

Union Jack is NOT going away
It is my understanding the new owner wants to keep things as they are and I'm confident that if anyone can give that ol battleax the love and attention she SO desperately NEEDS,
it will be him.

I can't speak for him, but Im pretty sure he's well aware of the history and hearts involved

The bar needed an involved owner,
now it has one.

It will never be Jim Franz's UJs again
BUT
the SPIRITS WITHIN are not going anywhere thanks to someone who cares.

This has been bittersweet for many and heart-wrenching for a few but like everything in life....
sometimes things GOTTA change but that doesn't mean its over !!!

Please be patient and know that everything really DOES happen for a reason.

Join us on Dec 7th to honor all of Jims hard work and to say goodbye to a man loved by many.

Lets end HIS story in true Union Jack form

Dec. 13th a whole new chapter will begin.

Plz show the new owner what UJ customers are all about. Love, family, and friends and most importantly ACCEPTANCE

In doing that we truly do honor all that we have been given under those gilded ceilings.

It is with a very heavy heart that we are announcing the closing of Jim Franz's Union Jack. We will be closed for business effective today and for the foreseeable future. We will hold one more bash in Jims honor on Dec. 7th 2019 so save the date and watch our events page for more details as they become available.
For now THANK YOU for 30 plus years of AWESOME times that will live on in many memories forever.

Trying to compose this post is, hands down, the most heart-wrenching story, we have had to share in a very long time.

Looks like this family is well cared for. Im SO happy so many are stepping up to help. Having said that Union Jack is "backing out". Mostly becuz I just dont have extra space for a "donation bin" Lol but also becuz I think Nicole Tank Dickenson Winkers have some AMAZING family that will get'ter done. If anyone still wants to drop off anything , thats fine, I will see to it that the family gets it.
I am working on a few other options for a fundraiser. Mike Kaufman Jr and I have been in contact and I will stay in touch thru him regarding those ideas. Trying to NOT add more confusion to an already taxing time. If there is anything else that myself or Union Jack can do to help, PLZ dont hesitate to ask.
