Sal's opened its doors in Appleton for the first time in 2006, lets just say we weren't welcome with open arms by a lot of the food places that serve in the downtown area... However, this pizza place was an exception to that. They treated us like neighbors/friends with a common belief that we are not just making pizza, to us, it's an art form.
We both come from multiple Generations of restaurant owners and pizza makers.. We grew up with this, it matters to us, we take pride in it. We knew we could count on them and rely on him, as a friend, as a neighbor. Riley's an awesome guy who i'll admit has saved my ass a couple times when I was scrambling low on something in demand and he'd be a call away 😅.
At the end of the day, we were there to all serve the people of the Fox Valley. I mean, we zigged, they zagged. It worked. We still have good relationships to this day. He's a great guy. Definitely go check it out. I know I will be, and I really hope to see him somewhere in the valley again!

My name is Riley Brice and I have been the Owner-Operator of Pierri Pizza at 815 W. College Ave for the last 7 years. I have also been renting the residential property nextdoor at 819 W. College Ave for the last 11 years.
My grandmother is the owner of these properties and has always been an amazing and fair landlord to me. It was my understanding that in March of 2026 I was going to have the option to purchase both 815 and 819. It turns out there are other people in my family that want the buildings and had planned on inheriting them.
It’s not worth it to start a family argument by trying to purchase the properties, so I’ve decided to step away from them and pursue a new place to live and new location to operate my business. I was told in March that if I plan on exiting the properties that I should give the family a 6 month’s notice, and that brings us to August.
I have no idea if my family plans to continue operating 815 as a pizzeria when I’m gone.
If you have Pierri Pizza gift certificates and don’t have a chance to use them during our last few days of operation in August, please reach out to us and we’ll get you a full reimbursement.
