This is a great restaurant opportunity, in a high-volume, fast paced restaurant environment. We would prefer that you have 6+ months of restaurant cooking experience, but it's not required.
Responsibilities
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, grilling meat etc.)
Grill chicken, beef, tofu on charbroiler
Steam Vegetables
Assemble bowls
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
The willingness and ability to cross-train and also perform cashier responsibilities.
Perform the Physical Demands – Remain on your feet for several hours at a time, ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, withstand high temperature conditions, bend, kneel, and stoop
Skills
Proven experience as a cook
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
An internal, constant and self-imposed drive.
The ability to set goals and the desire to achieve them.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
