With a very heavy heart, we are letting our customers who knew Julie Collins know that she passed away last night. As soon as we have more details, I will post them here. This is a very sad day for our Bubbalou’s Team.

To all of our Apopka customers and friends:
We are very sad to announce that we have closed our Apopka location. For almost the past two years, we have stayed ahead of the pandemic and everything surrounding it. With all of the obstacles we have faced, we have given it our best shot, but can no longer justify staying open. There’s no one to blame. There’s no situation to blame. We are making every attempt to place our staff at our other locations, or help them facilitate gaining employment at other local restaurants. They are a great team and they richly deserve this help in their transition.
Our Altamonte Springs location and Kirkman/Conroy location are still open and providing our most Bodacious Bar-B-Que to the Central Florida area. All booked events will be handled through our Altamonte store.
This post is to say thank you to the City of Apopka and our great customers. It is not being made to open the door for criticism and harsh words. Please do not feel the need to criticize or make what was already a hard decision worse. 
We will miss you, Apopka !

Bubbalou’s Apopka will be closed today due to lack of staffing. We are sorry to have to close, especially on a Sunday, but when staff members call out at the last minute, and there is no one to cover them, it is only fair to our remaining staff and to our customers to close for the day. We will be back at it on Tuesday ringing our holiday bells and providing Central Florida with our most bodacious barbecue !
