What started out as a love for food…turned into BBQ sauces and rubs being manufactured and now being sold in specialty gourmet food stores. This was only the tip of the iceberg into the love for food, smoke and thinking outside the box and twisting it up w/ flavor…at Daddy Rex’s that is what we do best! First was the sauce…then while peddling our wares at festivals and expos…we then decided we wan

ted to start selling food. And the love affair began with smoking, our sauce & rubs. We took our 18’ Commercial kitchen on wheels (aka – the Taco Wagon) and we did festivals for over a year from North Texas to San Antonio and throughout East Texas to Galveston and the Hill Country. Many asked us if we had a restaurant??? Hmmmm…now that is a thought. So then the next chapter began. We started putting our money back from the festivals and sought out investors….this paid off and now we have our 1st Daddy Rex’s Twisted BBQ located in The Historical Interurban Train Depot Building in Downtown Anna, Texas (located a few miles north of McKinney). Opened November 2012 and the cult following is growing…one customer at a time.
