There are few things like a fall Saturday in Ann Arbor, and last season we got to experience game day in a pretty unforgettable way when Black Diesel provided the hot beverages for College GameDay.

Safe to say, we’re ready to do it all over again.

From training our original team before the café even opened to building a Barista School that welcomes coffee professionals from across the country, there’s a much bigger story behind Black Diesel than what you see at the café. ☕

At the BD Barista School , coffee education is for anyone curious enough to go deeper.

As the SCA Certified Premier Training Campus in Ann Arbor, we offer hands-on specialty coffee education for everyone from home coffee enthusiasts and curious beginners to working baristas, roasters, aspiring café owners, and coffee professionals looking to advance their skills.

Start with a Topical Tuesday to learn latte art, espresso extraction, brewing, or sensory skills. Go deeper with Foundations and advanced coursework covering the science and craft behind specialty coffee.
