Do we have an official proclamation? No. Did we forget to request one because we were too busy making pizzas? Possibly.

But this is our month. Our time to shine. Our opportunity to celebrate everything that makes pizza the greatest.

And what better way to celebrate than eating pizza every single day in October?

31 days. 31 opportunities to eat pizza. We're already 13 days behind.

We've got some catching up to do. Order now: doughcodsm.com

Breaking news: we're running out of summer.

Grade A Gardens tells us their tomato season probably has another 2-3 weeks to go, which means the Local Margaret does too.

We're making this special version with fresh tomatoes, basil and garlic from Grade A Gardens, plus fresh mozzarella from The Cheese Shop of Des Moines. Fresh, local and pretty hard to beat this time of year.

Available as a 14" pizza at our Drake location only, while the tomatoes last.

Day 2 of the Drake store renoโ€ฆ

The crew just about finished repairing and sanding all the wainscoting and trim, and started staining. Back of house concrete floors got polished and sealed. And one of the ownersโ€™ moms refinished our large high-top tables.

A reminder that our Drake store is closed for a few days for a well-deserved glow-up. Catering and our Ankeny store are still open!
