After everything we’ve been through with our sweet Remmy, it’s really had me thinking… especially as we’ve talked about hosting community classes once we’re open. 🐶🩺

If we were able to organize a Dog CPR & First Aid certification class, would there be interest in our community?

I truly wish something like this could be offered free, but certified instructors deserve to be paid for their time, expertise, and likely travel to teach these lifesaving skills.

My hope is that none of us ever need to use what we’d learn - but if that moment ever comes, I know I’d be incredibly grateful to have that knowledge.

One option I’ve found would be approximately $75 per person, and the class would take about 2–3 hours to complete. We would need a minimum of 6 people interested in order to arrange this class. (This is just one option I’ve found through Lollipop Farm, we may be able to find one cheaper if necessary!)

If this is something you’d be interested in, please comment below so I can gauge interest. 🐾

A certain hambone has really been enjoying being spoiled for almost a month now. Special food, all the attention and nightly sleep overs with mom and dad - he’s really getting the most he can out of these last few weeks! 🩷🐶

While we still are trying to figure things out, and awaiting a bit more testing, we did get some more good news!

It usually takes months to get in with Cornell Vet Hospital’s Cardiology team, originally he couldnt get in until the end of April.
But somehow Remmy was able to sneak his way in next week for a consultation with the cardiologist there to get him more stable! 🍀🙏🏻

With this appointment scheduled we finally feel we will have the care team involved that Re*****on truly requires at this point. It has been a miracle me and his dad have been able to keep him as healthy, relaxed and overall happy during this illness, especially with his upset stomach.

Me and Mitch are itching to get the doors open for you on Main, and feel immense sadness everytime we have stopped in this last month knowing it’s been placed on hold. We know it was the right call for us personally, even though it wasn’t an easy one to make.

Thank you all for staying with us, for sending us prayers, advice, well wishes.. just all the love you’ve sent our way does mean the world to us. 🩷

Remmy will be beyond excited to meet you all, and give you all kisses once he’s healed and his momma gets her bakery dreams fulfilled! 🥰

Update on our big guy! 🐶

Thank you all so much for thinking of him, praying for him, and sending messages of encouragement. It truly means the world to me and Mitch - we’ve felt every ounce of love. 🩷

After being given some really terrifying news, we are incredibly grateful to say that things are looking much more hopeful than we were first led to believe. Unfortunately, the emergency vet we initially took him to misdiagnosed him and did not provide the supportive care needed to help stabilize his body and reduce stress on his heart. 😔

What we know now is this:
He has two heart valves that aren’t closing perfectly, allowing some blood to flow backward with each beat. His heart muscle was weakened from the prolonged stress of his collapse, compounded by the lack of intervention afterward. He has since been diagnosed with early-stage Degenerative Valve Disease, and imaging also showed a 1.9 cm mass-like area in his heart.

So… what’s the good news?

• His bloodwork has been sent out and should give us clearer answers soon
• There is a strong possibility that the “mass” is actually a blood clot - and if so, it can be treated with medication
• His heart muscle has a real chance to recover with the right supportive care and time
• His valve disease is in the very first stage, meaning we can get ahead of it and work to slow progression

While he isn’t fully out of the woods yet - and definitely isn’t cleared to be his usual full-throttle, love-a-bull self just yet - he is feeling significantly better, and that alone is a huge relief. 🥹

Once his bloodwork is back and treatment officially starts, mom and dad will finally be able to leave him home alone again. That means we’ll be able to get back to finishing the space for you all!

(Though we might have to give Re*****on a job soon so he can start paying off his medical bills 😅)

Thank you again for every kind word, prayer, and message. We truly couldn’t do this without you all. Thank you all for being so patient with us and understanding that our baby came first 🩷

And suddenly, you’re reminded of what truly matters in life…

Friday night, we experienced every pet parent’s worst nightmare. Our beloved pittie, Remmy, collapsed and had to be rushed to emergency care. He is now facing serious cardiac issues, most likely caused by hemangiosarcoma.

We know our opening keeps getting pushed back, and this time it’s because our worst fear has come true. We adopted Remmy in early 2020 - just a week before the world shut down for COVID. From the very beginning, he became the center of our home and our hearts. We’ve always joked that he wasn’t just our dog, but our actual son - how could he not be, with how fiercely loyal he’s been to me and his daddy?

We always knew losing him one day would be the hardest thing we’d ever face. We just never imagined it might be only six years after saving him… and that he may never see his 7th birthday.

Right now, our only priority is giving this boy the absolute best days possible for however long we have left. He now requires round-the-clock care and supervision, which means we need to pause any major work on Main Street for the time being. With his diagnosis, and not being able to proceed with aggressive treatment, we have days, maybe a couple weeks left with our loveable pimpbull.

And yes - when we finally open our doors, I absolutely owe you all a free cookie for being so incredibly patient with us. We will make a post when we are able about a grand opening where we make this happen in the future! 🍪

Please hug your fur babies a little tighter tonight. Don’t take a single day with them for granted. Life can change in an instant, and we’re learning that the hardest way. ❤️‍🩹🐶

✨ Happy New Year, 2026! ✨

We’re wishing you a year filled with good health, happiness, and abundance. A year of heart-bursting moments, pride in all you’ve already accomplished, and the motivation to keep working toward your goals - and reaching even more of them. And of course… a year full of sweet treats 🍪🧁✨

In just a few days, I’ll be finishing up a project that pulled my focus away from the bakery this past month. It was one door that needed to close before another could open - something that was out of my control at the time. Once it’s behind me, I’ll be pouring my entire heart and soul into bringing this bakery to life for you. 💛

✨ Our goal for 2026:
To create more than just a bakery.
To create a true safe space within our community - one that belongs just as much to us as it does to you.

We want to create an environment where people feel welcome and supported, no matter what they’re carrying with them that day - where there’s always a listening ear and kindness offered in whatever way we’re able.

Whether it’s helping with homework, hosting a community meal, keeping a little one entertained so a tired parent can breathe, offering a warm table to someone who doesn’t want to eat alone, or simply sharing a quiet cup of coffee and conversation on a hard day. 🤍☕

A bakery might not traditionally be thought of as a community hub - but why couldn’t it be? Especially now, when connection, compassion, and belonging matter more than ever. ✨

💬 We’d love your input.
We know we can’t possibly understand every need in our community on our own. If you have ideas on how we can better support, serve, or show up for you and our neighbors, please share them in the comments below. This space is being built with you, not just for you. 🤍

We can’t wait to welcome you in. 💛

Free dinner for anyone who may otherwise be alone!

If anyone is unable to secure transportation to the grange for Christmas Dinner, please post in the comments below or in the event’s discussion. 🚗👇🏻

If you are unable to find a neighbor to help you get to the dinner, and maybe attend with us. We can try to get a dinner delivered to you within Angelica/Allen/Birdsall (this may be difficult for us but we will absolutely try after 6pm!) 🚛

We hope anyone who doesn’t have family close by, will come join our community dinner. There is no cost to attend!
We want everyone in the community to realize how important they are, that everyone deserves a seat at the table. 💖
You can come anytime between 4-6pm and get a plate to eat, if you’d rather take it to go we can make arrangements for a few ☺️

I am suspecting we will have leftovers with the limited amount of responses online (however it was posted in the boosters news and not everyone is on Facebook), so if you can think of somewhere to donate lasagna to after Christmas, let us know! 🥰
