Friday, June 12, U.S. 64 will be closed between milepost 272 and near the Palo Flechado Fire Department at 10:00 a.m. to allow for construction activities and to ensure the safety of NMDOT and construction staff. This is now expected to last until around 5:30 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.

Don’t shoot the messenger. Alternate routes to/from Taos are north through Red River or south through Mora. HWY434 is open from US64 southbound. The closure of US64 is only on Thursday and Friday.
