⚠️ JOHNSEAFOOD ZERO TOLERANCE NOTICE
We have seen customers place online orders, pay, pick up the food, and then dispute the charge with their bank a few days later. That is not a refund. That is fraud.
Under South Carolina law, S.C. Code § 45-1-50, obtaining food from a restaurant and intentionally refusing to pay — or otherwise defrauding the restaurant — is a misdemeanor. Conviction can mean a fine of up to $1,000, jail time of up to 6 months, or both.
Johnseafood has already communicated with the Anderson Police Department and provided pickup video evidence and banking information. We have zero tolerance for fraud or any other illegal activity. Every case will be documented and pursued.
Honest customers have nothing to worry about. If you received your order, you are expected to honor the payment.
