We just spoke with the surgeon, and the surgery went very well.

There is a small portion of the tumor that was intentionally left because it is located in a highly functional area of the brain. The surgeon did not want to risk causing damage to those critical areas.

Austin will have an MRI tonight or tomorrow morning, which will give the medical team a better look at what remains and help determine whether radiation, chemotherapy, or both will be recommended moving forward.

Austin is currently in the ICU for recovery, where he’ll have a quieter environment with limited traffic as he begins to heal.
