Most vendors call Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the Alaska State Fair “Dark Days”. The Fair is closed so everyone can restock, clean, prep, and recover for the upcoming weekend.

Apparently, at Tiki Pete’s, we need to start calling them DOG DAYS. 🐾😂

While the rest of us thought the Fairgrounds were closed, Otis & Etta were apparently living their BEST. FAIR. LIVES.

Ferris wheel? Check.
Merry-go-round? Obviously.
Sneaking a Tiki Pete’s dog? Busted.
Cotton candy? Because Fair calories don’t count.
Unsupervised roaming of the Fairgrounds? Apparently.

We have no idea who gave these two potatoes access to the Fair on Dark Days, but judging by the photographic evidence… they have connections. Bob? 🤷‍♀️

Thankfully, the humans are allowed back in today!

It’s Alaska State Fair time!! And what an amazing fair it’s been!

The sun is out, the weiners are huge, the smiles are even bigger, and we’re ready to serve you.

Today is our final day before the 2-day down time, which us vendors desperately need. We’ll be back on Thursday, ready to hit it hard!

Another fun day at the Alaska State Fair!

One of our absolute favorite things about the Fair is getting to see so many friends throughout the day. There’s just something pretty special about looking up from the grill and seeing a familiar face walking toward us. 🥰

So stop by, say hi, grab some delicious grub, and hang out with us for a minute.

Good food + good friends = a pretty perfect Fair day! 🌭🍔

Finally…. My weiner is erect! And, it’s official, I have the largest wiener on the Alaska State Fair!

Come see my wiener, in all its glory, and grab a bite, or two. Sausages, dogs, burgers, fries, and smiles. All the smiles.

Wow! What an AMAZING kickoff to the 90th Alaska State Fair! 🎡🌭💜

Thank you, friends, for showing up and giving us so much love today. We truly appreciate every single one of you who stopped by, grabbed some food, said hello, and supported our little Tiki Pete’s family. You guys are the BEST.

And a special thank you to the customers who reminded me to hang up our Hot Donna sign. 💜

It took selling TWO Hot Donnas before I realized I hadn’t put up the sign letting everyone know that we are still accepting donations for Donna’s family.

Apparently our customers remember even when I don’t. And I’m incredibly grateful for that.

You haven’t forgotten Donna. You haven’t forgotten her family. And you won’t let me forget to keep telling her story and supporting them.

So yes…..Hot Donna is still on the menu.
Add $5 to any dog and make it a Hot Donna (two sausages, one bun ) with the donation going to Donna’s family. 💜

The Alaska State Fair opens TOMORROW, and we are READY! 🌭🍔🍟

Come find Pete, on the Red Trail, next to Macho Nachos, and just down the way from Divine Dips to get officially FAIR FED with all your favorites: the Original Alaska Mac Dog, reindeer sausage, loaded fries, burgers, and all the glorious fair food you’ve been waiting for. 🤤

We’re especially excited to celebrate the Fair’s 90th year with you!

We’ve been lucky enough to feed a whole lot of hungry fairgoers over the years, and there’s still nothing quite like opening day in Palmer. 💜

Come hungry. Say hi. Eat something fun and delicious!!

But, we’ll be fixed and ready to go for the Tanana Valley State Fair!!

Fairbanks! We’re here and we’re ready to serve you!

We are set up today at Golden Days Festival in the Rabinowitz courthouse parking lot from 9am until 5pm.
