You know us for the coffee, disco balls, and faces behind the counter. But there’s a much bigger story behind Refuge Coffee.

Refuge exists to bring awareness to the realities of human trafficking and exploitation in Alaska while supporting the life changing work of Priceless.

And next Friday, October 16, we’re inviting you to experience that mission beyond the walls of our café.

Redefine Worth is an evening dedicated to celebrating survivors, sharing the work happening right here in Alaska, and inviting our community to be a part of what comes next. If you’ve ever wondered about the mission behind your morning coffee, this is a night we would love for you to experience.

Join us for Redefine Worth. For no cost, you can register for an individual ticket or to host a table (seats 8). We would love to see you there.

It’s about so much more than coffee!

Since opening the doors at Refuge, we’ve had the opportunity to give out more than 100 backpacks filled with essential supplies, hundreds of pairs of socks, sweatshirts and sweatpants, hand and toe warmers, and so much more to our neighbors here in Spenard who are experiencing homelessness.

Because Refuge was never meant to simply be a place that serves great coffee. We want to be a place that loves our neighborhood well.

Every time you buy a latte, meet a friend here, grab breakfast, and choose to support Refuge, you’re helping us do exactly that.

Coffee with purpose. That’s Refuge.

A week ago, Best Beginnings hosted A Dolly Good Time: A Dolly Parton tribute party. All proceeds from this event benefitted Best Beginnings and Anchorage Imagination Library

Karaoke, bingo cards, painting, themed drinks, and friendship made this event SO FUN. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support such an important cause in our community. We love you Best Beginnings ❤️

Every pom-pom represents a person.

When you shop our Products with Purpose boutique, your purchase reaches far beyond Refuge. The products we carry are made by survivors and organizations doing incredible work here in Alaska, across the country, and around the world.

And in 2025, your purchases helped support 1,658 survivors. 🤯

That’s 1,658 reminders that what we buy, and where we buy it, can make a difference.

Come grab a coffee, shop the boutique, and help us keep filling the Hope Jar.
