The annual Bill Walsh Scholarship Foundation once again, had a great day at the Atnip-Phelps Golf Tournament in June. C.A.V.C. is able to provide 4 scholarships, and the 2026 lucky winners are:

May 2026 was a great day to meet with our legislators in Sacramento to discuss our industry and the various bills that would affect it. Big THANKS to our Operators, Brokers & Suppliers who were able to attend this year.

The Vistar WEST buying show was held this week in Anaheim, CA. Even though I forgot to take many pictures, some of my favorite people to see included Pam Bolstad, Jill Abram, Lisa Mattias, Sadie Bernhardt, Noel Caskey, Lori Endres, Tricia Valdez, and of course Cathy Feeley!

At our annual dinner - the C.A.V.C. "2025 Operator of the Year" award went to:
GREG BELL, Continental Convenience Solutions.

Acknowledging his many years of service to CAVC and management of the CAVC Walsh Family Scholarship, Greg has contributed many years of dedication to all of the CAVC events.

At our annual dinner - the C.A.V.C. "2025 Associate of the Year" award went to:

STEVE ENDRES, U.S.I. (U-Select-It)

Acknowledging his many years as our annual meeting Golf Chair, along with serving on the CAVC Board. Steve also serves as the Treasurer on the AAMC board.

Also, Lisa Mattias, our new CAVC President, thanked Robert Donohue for his outstanding job as our outgoing President of two years with a nice bottle of wine.
