At Nara, we take you home on a journey for a taste of the Mediterranean with the highest grade of meat and vegetable selections. Our menu and daily specials are gathered from favorite destinations of
Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq and the Golf. The Nara logo and the Dome in the patio at Nara are inherited from the Islamic architecture of many countries in the middle east. NARA- pronounced [Na Ra] means FLAME. It is an Arabic slang word that originated from the word NAR which means FIRE. NARA is often referenced to as CHARCOAL. When your ho**ah arrives, your ho**ah server will place “NARA” on your favorite flavor. The artwork inside the dome and the white portion of the flooring are mosaic and are seen in old homes of Damascus. It is also typical to have water fountains in many of those homes which is how our patio was inspired to include two water fountains across from the dome. Many of the old homes later became renowned restaurants serving authentic Syrian food. In Damascus even today, you can walk into these restaurants and enjoy amazing food and ho**ah as you listen to a live Oudist (Arabic guitar) which is the experience we strive to provide to our customers at Nara.
