🚨Ames, Iowa Clayton Farms Salads patrons!🥬
We’ll be closed this Saturday and Sunday, August 29-30, due to selling out of lettuce!😬
About a month ago, we shared why it’s so important to know your farmer to avoid worrying about Cyclospora and other outbreaks.
Since we put that video out, we’ve seen a steady increase in more Ames community members visiting us.
Then over this past week, we saw 7x more demand for our raw produce than ever before. We’ve kept up the best we could, but we’re going to run out of lettuce by close today. And we don’t want to dip into next week’s harvests, so we’re going to be closed this weekend (Aug29-30).
We’ve increased our 🥬 growing and hope to meet demand by end of September. Until then, we know it’s a good problem to have look forward to farming for you!
