A risotto with the heart of a paella.
Grilled red snapper, butter poached shrimp, grilled octopus, white wine clams, charcoal roasted tomatoes, guajillo sofrito, roasted corn, poblano, cotija cheese. Finished with preserved lemon, garlic breadcrumbs.

Inspired by traditional Oaxaca and Puebla moles and the abundance of summer stone fruit, this dish balances sweet, tart, smoky, and savory flavors. The hibiscus provides brightness while local peaches highlight the season.

La Baja’s new summer menu has arrived, and we’re so proud to share it with our guests!

Our new summer menu highlights local & seasonal ingredients while showcasing our mission of celebrating the rich gastronomic traditions of foods of the Mexican borders.

As we developed this new menu, we reflected on the stories of migration, cultural exchange, and culinary evolution that have shaped these regions. We looked to native recipes, time-honored techniques, and the traditions Chef Dionicio has shared throughout the years, alongside the inspiration we’ve found through collaborations with chefs from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Together, these influences have shaped a menu that honors tradition while embracing creativity and flavor. The result is a menu that feels distinctly La Baja, one rooted in the celebration of culture, community, seasonality, and the stories that continue to shape our cuisine.

This 4th of July, join us for a cookout inspired by the ranches and parrilladas of Northern Mexico at La Baja!

These specials will honor the rich culinary traditions that have shaped both sides of the border bringing people together through smoke, fire and food.

We will be grilling all day long, 11am to 8pm. 🔥

Photos feature the Arrachera de Norteña, Pulpo Aguachile and Papaya Ceviche.

Regular brunch and dinner menu will not be available.

Our Pollito has a new look 👀

Guajillo-marinated roasted chicken served with Moroccan couscous, pistachios, apricots, raisins, preserved lemon and a smoked-herb jocoque.

Jocoque is a cultured buttermilk similar to labneh or strained yogurt. It was introduced to Mexico by Lebanese immigrants over 100 years ago.
