My grandparents moved from Nuevo Laredo via Monterrey, Mexico to Midland Texas and later opened El Monterrey cafe in the 50's. I started as a busboy around '79 then cooked with both my grand parents and my parents in the mid 80's. My father opened Tacos Garcia on the blvd in 86' and it needed a boost !! So Mitsy and I took over in '88 and grew it. We built the current building in 1999, and added n

umerous plates including New Mexican recipes from her families home state and a full bar. We are a blend of cultures as our family is a blend.
