This annual event is a great way to kick off another exciting school year—and it’s extra special because we’re giving back! A percentage of our sales will go toward activities for students at SEP. 🎉

Mala's Kitchen will be back serving Laotian and Asian cuisine! We've heard their Pho-rito is delicious!
Iceskimo Snow will be back serving snow cones, Dole Whips, and soft serve!

The farmers market ends the last week of August. Come and check out the market before summer is over!

Whew…what a weekend! 🥵🍧

After a super hot, super busy Saturday at the Lutheran Church of Hope Taste of Hope in West Des Moines, we’ve been resting, recovering, and restocking! 😅

In just 4 hours, we served over 1,600 of our kids-sized flower cups! 🤯 That meant it was time to build up our supply of ice 🧊 and mix up gallons and gallons of our delicious flavors.

A couple of fun facts about how we make our shave ice:

🧊 We freeze our own 15-pound blocks of ice! Each block is made specifically for our shave ice machine. When we started Iceskimo Snow, we spent a lot of time researching different ice shavers, and we truly believe ours produces shave ice that’s nearly identical to what you’ll find in Hawaii. 🌺 We take a lot of pride in serving that soft, fluffy, snow-like texture that makes Hawaiian-style shave ice so special!

🍓 We make our own flavors, too! We start with premium flavor concentrates and blend them into our own simple syrup. To kick off the season and fill our flavor stations, we use…wait for it…

400 pounds of sugar! 😳🍭 That’s a whole lot of sweetness!
