We have some news. I have accepted a position at the Sinking Valley Country Club. While it’s not The Serving Plate I am bringing your menu favorites to Bogey Bar N Grill. Come see us! The menu will be in effect next week. Currently serving a limited menu. You do not need to be a member of the club to eat or drink!

While we appreciate being nominated in a few categories in the Altoona Mirror 2024 Hometown Favorites. We’re not sure how we ended up getting through to the voting round since we have not been open since October 2023. Thank you to those that still think of us but please don’t waste your votes on us! There’s plenty of local restaurants to vote for! And if you’re missing us, you’re able to see some of our faces at Jimmy’s Place in Bellwood who has also been nominated in multiple categories!

We have received an increase of messages lately. We are still currently closed. We are looking at different avenues of ways to continue until we find a location. Licenses are different for retail food like we were, food truck/vendor and catering so we are trying to figure out what would be best for us in the meantime until we find a home to reopen. We want to be sure that the next move is permanent. We appreciate all the suggestions that we receive. And thank you all for not forgetting about us!

We have some unfortunate news. We are unable to open on Nov 1. We will update once we get through this hurdle. Although we recently renewed our food license and it is valid until 3/22/25, licenses are non transferable to new locations, so we must reapply. This will take some time to be reviewed and approved as the application process is as if we are starting from scratch. We are going to address all avenues available to try to speed up this process.

Our menu for opening on November 1. Please don’t panic if you see your favorites missing! As we transition, we will be adding more! Get out to CWV Home Association Post 1691 and get your applications in! We will be open 4-9 Monday-Saturday.
