The AH-MAZING people I work with wanted to surprise one of our equally AH-MAZING security guards, Ty with a little birthday party! We ordered pizza and I was asked to make him a special sugar-free chocolate cake with sugar-free chocolate bettercream and I was happy to oblige! We didn’t know Ty’s full name so I just asked him! Tyler? Tyson? Nope! TYRONE! I’m like “STOP IT!” I knew I HAD to make a reference to the Erykah Badu song ‘Tyrone’ even tho he’s now old enough to take advantage of the “Wisdom discount” at work🤣 but also include some of his favorite things like food, pickleball, dark blue and purple(the purple didn’t show well in print but it was there). He LOVED the cake and it actually tasted pretty good! I made the rest of the work fam a cookie cake so they didn’t have to eat Ty’s cake just in case it was less than stellar🤣 He took it home and had it all to himself since his wife was on a trip to Europe! I was impressed that he got the reference to the song and even sang it a couple times! We love the mess out of him and we know we can always 🎶call Tyrone! CALL HIM🎶🤣 Happy Birthday old man🎉🥳

Triplets Olivia, Victoria, and Eriel have been getting treats from me since they turned 9 and now they’re TEENAGERS😩😩😩 Over the years, I’ve made them some interestingly themed cakes! This year, mom Melissa wanted them to each have their own heart shaped cakes in their favorite colors(which are all my favorite colors) to welcome them to the teenage years! As soon as she showed me the shirts she made for them, I HAD to put the pics on the cakes! These are all 2 layer 8” heart cakes in classic vanilla, chocolate with chocolate ganache and confetti with my signature not too sweet classic vanilla bettercream! These were super fun to make and I’m STILL buggin’ up over the fact that they’re 13 now but I might get over it by next year! Melissa says they loved the cakes and that’s all I care about! I’m honored to have been chosen to bake for this awesome family for so many years! This is the first time I’m making a cookie cake for Jonathan but his brother Andrew got a (semi-3D) fishing themed cookie cake not too long ago! Jonathan loves the Percy Jackson books(and so do we)so mom Laura thought it’d be cool to make him a camp half blood cake complete with pillars🤣 Here she goes with the 3D theme again! This time I was able to find some pillars for the cake that weren’t too tall, I made a golden banner for his name for the side of the cookie and used Roman numerals for his age! She loved it and I hope he did too! Thanks so much for coming back Laura👋🏽🎉🥳

My friend Andrew loves parties!! He puts on THE BEST parties at his house and he usually asks me to make the treats! For his friend Tina’s 50th, he said it was a 70’s theme but he wasn’t the one throwing the party which was surprising but he still asked me to do the cake so I was honored! He showed me the invite and said to do whatever so I used all the colors to match it! I brought out one of my most favorite piping tips that makes a wide ribbon-y effect and used several other tips that I don’t use often like the s**g and u-shaped ones! With such an abstract design, I didn’t want words on it so I just put a gold T and a 50. I think the vintage feel of it came through and I loved how it turned out! I hope Tina loved her 3 layer 8” carrot cake with alllll the goodies and my signature cream cheese bettercream as much as Andrew said she would!! I appreciate you always thinking of me for your parties!! Can’t wait til next order!!🎉🥳

Kaylyn Jo’s daughter Allayna loves the Netflix show Trash Truck! I hadn’t heard of it so I had to do a big bit of research on it. First off, there were NO TOYS made for this show! Only a plushy of the truck! So I had to print everything for this cake! She asked for balloons and party hats so I edited in party hats for everyone and added my favorite foam balloons in colors to match the decorations she sent me! She also wanted the tree to be incorporated into the design so I made sure it got on the cake! Laynie got a 3 layer 8” almond white cake with my dirt filling(cookie crumble mixture) and my signature not too sweet classic vanilla bettercream! I got out my sprinkle pen to help me strategically place them all over the cake cuz I hadn’t done that in a while and I’m so glad I did! It came out so cute! Kaylyn Jo LOVED the cake and especially the fondant truck on top with the birthday hat and balloons! I hope Allayna loved it too! This is the 3rd cake I’ve made her and I can’t wait for the next one! Happy Birthday sweet girl!🎉🥳

30 is THE number this year! My wife and I are celebrating 30 years of entangled hearts and Lisa and I are also celebrating 30 years of friendship! Lisa has been there for ALL the important things in my life! I was a brand new 16 and she was less than a month away from 20 when we met at my first job at Michael’s Arts n Crafts in the summer of 1996 and here we are 30 years later still goin strong! She is the brightest star in the darkest of nights and the breath of fresh air you didn’t know you needed! You will leave her presence smiling and you’ll never get her infectious laugh out of your head! I can’t believe she’s 50!! I mean it, I thought I had one more year😳🤣 but I made her 2 cookie cakes cuz that’s her favorite! One to celebrate our friendship and another to celebrate her 50th trip around the sun! The hard part was finding pictures that were decent enough to put on a collage🤣 I took pics of actual photographs from the 1900’s to put these together! Either way you slice it, it’s a great life with her in it💜 Love you SO very much you beautiful human!! Happy Birthday Lis🥳🎉I nub noo💜

With 4 girls and a new hubby, regular client/framily Melissa stays on my cake schedule🤣 She found me because my bestest regular Destini is always posting the cakes I make her family and she just never stopped ordering! It’s Alex’s dirty 30 and they celebrated with a Hennessy cake(themed, not flavored🤣) Since this ain’t my first rodeo, I have a set of tulip glasses for when I get requests for dark liquor themed cakes! I’ve seen the bottle trend where people cut out a piece of the cake to smoosh the bottle into it and I just can’t bring myself to do that so I usually put the bottle on top of the cake or I’ll stick it to the side. I made him his very own custom label and added gold accents! This was all oldest daughter Lilly’s idea for him🥰 it’s a 2 layer 8” chocolate cake with my classic vanilla buttercream and filled with chocolate ganache! It’s always a pleasure making treats for this family and I’m grateful for the advertising🤣 Hope you had a great birthday Alex!🥳🎉

Our friend Kesh’s mom Mindy loves Chucky AND Betty Boop so why not put them together on her 50th birthday cake?!🤣🤣 I had no idea this even existed but I LOVE it even though I’m not a horror fan. Kesh gave me the image and asked for a heart shaped Lucious Lemon cake with lemon curd and cream cheese bettercream🤤 Such a bright and sunny flavor for such a sinister cake! I just got new heart pans so this is a 2 layer 8” cake instead of a 3 layer 6” cake. I used dyed corn syrup for the “Dexter splatter” and made a couple white chocolate knives! Just another reason to get out the Halloween molds!! Yes, the N in Mindy is backwards cuz I figured people who write in the red stuff wouldn’t have good grammar and also, why not🤣 I made the cherries out of fondant because I found that real ones are too inconsistent and don’t hold the sparkle like I NEED them to🤷🏾‍♀️ I love how this batch turned out! This one was super fun to make with the vintage piping and horror combo! Happy 50th Mindy🎉🥳

Happy Friday👋🏽 Sorry for the break, I got a job for the first time in 8 years so I needed a couple weeks to adjust🤣 I’m kicking things back off with this order from back in August🙄🤣 Lucy is 20. Wow! She was 15 when I made her first cake. I feel like I’m always thinking about the years passing with each order from a regular client. I’m so grateful for the memories! I just posted about this lovely young lady in my Dolly tribute the other day and that’s not where it ends(sorry, not sorry! I love the mess outta this whole family. Lucy was my most favorite teen client! I only say WAS because she’s no longer a teenager🥹 She was ALWAYS so grateful and kind to me. She’d always take pictures with me and always gave me a hug. Never had to be told to interact with me even when I first met her and in this business, I’ve seen some things! Her old soul makes her so comfortable to be around and I run into her all over our small town. She’ll see me first and make sure to say hi no matter who she’s with! I say all of that so y’all understand why I snuck into Destiny’s house while they were on their way home from vacation on Lucy’s birthday to try and decorate like Des would! I made her a 2 layer signature triple chocolate chip cookie cake with fudge n’ crumble in the middle topped with classic vanilla bettercream and a collage of some of my fav pics of hers 💜 I wish I could’ve been there when they all got home but I’m glad to know she saw it! Happy 20th Lucy and thank you for trusting me enough to let me be all up in your house Des! I love y’all so much🎉🥳

Last year, Lilith had a Pink Pony Club cake! For her 4th birthday she’s having a Halloween party!! She’s got THE coolest parents!! Hocus Pocus & Nightmare Before Christmas is all I remember from the brief I got from mom Evelyn and I was stoked!🤣 I made the images on the cake which I’m pretty proud of! As soon as I saw the pink iridescent ghost, I knew it was going on top of her cake no matter how big it was🤣 I got to make my favorite precious teeny ghosts and all the fun Halloweeny fondant things! Evelyn ordered a 3 layer 6” strawberry cake with my fresh strawberry filling and 2 dozen strawberry cuppies all with my signature not too sweet classic vanilla bettercream! When I got to their house, everyone was dressed up in costumes and ready to party! Lilith is one lucky girl to have so many people go out of their way to make her birthdays so special! I got to wish her a Happy Birthday in person and see the smile on her sweet face! Thank you for trusting me with her cake again!! 🥳🎉
