This weekend (July 17-19) will be the final weekend of The Black Kettle Coffee Shop.

The shop has been sold to new owners, Jamie & Erin, who are local, experienced cafe owners. They’ll be keeping it a cafe, expanding the concept, and introducing a new name. I’m excited to pass the space on to them, and I know they’ll continue making it a special gathering place for our community.

When I opened The Black Kettle, I hoped it would be more than just a place to grab coffee. Because of all of you, it became exactly that - and that’s what I’m most proud of. Thanks again to everyone who stopped in for a quick coffee, stayed awhile, brought friends, worked from a corner table, or simply made this place part of your routine. You made The Black Kettle what it was, and it’s been an incredible privilege to be part of this community and to serve Alma and Park County.

While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, I know this is the right next step for me, and I’m excited for what’s ahead - for both me and for the cafe.

If you’ve been meaning to stop by one more time, I’d love to see you this weekend and say thank you in person.

Please also give the new shop a warm welcome and follow The Kettle Cafe on Instagram. I can’t wait to see what Jamie & Erin create in this space.

Once again, thank you. I’ll see you around town.

Thank you so much to the local community for voting us Best Coffee Spot and Best Barista (west side of Kenosha Pass) for the second year in a row. It truly means a lot! And congrats to our friends at for winning on the east side. 🤜🤛

Yesterday was a bittersweet one. Bryce has been a fixture at the shop the past few months (and for a bit last summer). She has been invaluable to me, personally, and somebody our regulars look forward to seeing behind the bar. While I’m sad to see her go, I’m also thrilled for her and her husband as they prepare for their first child. Thanks for everything you’ve done here, Bryce, and I know so many of us can’t wait to meet the new little one. 🤍
