Yaya has been busy making pesto with an abundance of basil today!! It is available frozen in cubes for easy use! 6 cubes for $3, message us if you would like to purchase!
Here is a quick and yummy meal idea for the pesto:

Chicken and Creamy Pesto Pasta

Boil water in large pot for pasta (we like cellentani but you can pick your favorite) cook pasta according to box instructions and reserve 1/4 cup pasta water when draining.

Season chicken (we prefer boneless thighs but breasts work too) with salt and pepper and cook in a large pan with olive oil. (Chicken is done when internal temp is 165)

Remove Chicken from pan and add garlic (chopped cloves or minced from jar) to taste (we like 2 cloves), cook garlic about a minute then add pesto to pan (1 or 2 cubes to your liking), stir that together.

Add 1 cup heavy cream and reserved pasta water, cook until thickens (about 4-5 minutes)

Add cooked pasta to pan and stir around in the sauce

Add 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Delicious meal in under 30 minutes!! Enjoy!

Good morning and Happy Thursday! We added Jalapeño Cheddar Mini loafs to the stand for today and we also have fresh picked candy onions! We have a bunch of basil as well but we didnt want the heat to wilt it so if you are interested in fresh basil let us know!!
