Become knowledgeable in the methods of propagation at the Alliance Public Library on July 23 at 5:30 p.m. Plant Propagation - How to get more plants from those that you already have, presented by Scotty Minich, will inform you of methods of propagation, ways to propagate your own plants, and instruct a hands-on activity resulting in a propagated plant to take with you.

Propagation is a method of growing new plants from parts of an existing plant, such as sections of root, stem, leaf, or bud. When propagated correctly and planted in the right conditions, portions of plants are capable of producing roots and become independent plants.

Scott has become skilled in methods of propagation, working with an array of plants as an owner of ‘Regina’s House of Plants’.

Registration is required for this free program. Contact the Library to register by calling (308) 762-1387 or email [email protected] . Registration deadline is Monday, July 20.

My wife and I run a very small operation here in Alliance. In order for this business to support us financially we have chosen to take on the bulk of the work ourselves. The good lord supplied us each with just one pair of arms. When it is busy during the day we choose to serve customers physically at the store first. That means the phone does in fact go on silent, it is actually being ignored at that time. It’s not uncommon for Sara to call folks back once we are able, and yes occasionally we forget the phone was on silent for a half hour. One day we will have a larger operation and can address this issue further. For today, know, if we don’t answer it’s not personal you are just in line like the rest of the folks and it’s likely quicker to come by and see us in person.
