your barista is literally just a girl 🎀💅
she might have an algebra test tomorrow, softball practice tonight, or be working her very first job. She’s learning how to make your favorite latte while simultaneously figuring out how to be a functioning adult. (which, honestly, we’re still figuring this out too😂)
One of our favorite things about owning Wagging Tail is getting to hire young people and watching them grow into themselves.
We’ve watched shy teenagers turn into confident leaders. Kids who were nervous to take their first order become the ones training new employees. We’ve watched them learn responsibility, accountability, communication, problem-solving, and how to handle situations that aren’t always easy… and we’re SO dang proud of them 🥹
but here’s the thing about learning and growing.. you have to be given the grace to actually do it.
Our crew is human. Sometimes they make mistakes, sometimes they have an off day. We have incredibly high standards for our coffee and our experience we give to customers. We’ll always take responsibility when we fall short and work to make things right, but we also believe kindness and respect should go both ways 💖
7 years ago Wagging Tail was a little coffee trailer outside our house. Today, we’re still that small, family owned business, just with 5 locations and a whole lot more amazing humans who make it all possible.
So next time you’re grabbing your favorite drink, remember there’s a real person on the other side of the counter. Someone who’s learning, growing, and doing their best, and we love them very much.
We’re not just making coffee around here, we’re helping raise the next generation of really awesome humans and we’re so lucky to get that chance 🫶🏻🥹
