We are especially thankful for our longstanding partnership and strong working relationship with Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio and his office. Their continued support, cooperation, and commitment to public safety have been invaluable to our team and the communities we serve.

Strong partnerships between county agencies help us better serve Lehigh County, and we are grateful for the Coroner’s Office’s continued support.
Thank you for helping strengthen our operational capabilities and keep our Drone Team’s mission.

Keep an eye out for future updates as we outfit and equip this vehicle to provide drone and aerial support to our communities and partner agencies.

With deep respect, we share the following media release regarding the passing of The Honorable James B. Martin, retired Lehigh County District Attorney.

Mr. Martin dedicated more than two decades to serving the people of Lehigh County and leaves behind a lasting legacy of honor, leadership, dedication, and public service.

Our sincere condolences are extended to his family, friends, former colleagues, and the entire law enforcement community during this difficult time.

May his many years of service to Lehigh County always be remembered.

We are honored to share this tribute in memory of Wayne Emerson Snyder Sr., who served as Lehigh County Coroner from 1988 to 1997. His years of service and dedication left a lasting impact on our office and the community.

Wayne served with professionalism, compassion, and a deep commitment to public service. As we remember his life and legacy, we also recognize the foundation he helped build for those who continue this work today.

Please join us in remembering Wayne Snyder and keeping his family and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time.

The Lehigh County Coroner's Office & Forensic Center was proud to participate in National Night Out hosted by the South Whitehall Township Police Department.

What a wonderful evening connecting with our community! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, share a story, express your appreciation for our work, and ask some thoughtful questions about what we do.

Events like these are a great reminder of the importance of building relationships, educating the public, and working together to keep our communities strong. We appreciate the South Whitehall Township Police Department for hosting another outstanding National Night Out and look forward to participating again next year!

What weighs 6,000 pounds and arrives in five pieces? The new CT scanner for the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center!

As expected with any major construction project, a few minor construction hiccups have slowed the process. However, the scanner has arrived, installation is moving forward, and we expect to be fully operational within the next few weeks.

Once everything is complete, we will be hosting a full public Open House! Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Forensic Center, including the morgue, autopsy suite, investigative offices, and our new CT scanner suite. Guests will also have the chance to meet our staff, learn about the work we do every day, and see firsthand how this advanced technology will enhance the services we provide to the citizens of Lehigh County.

This is another major milestone for the LCCO&FC, and we can't wait to welcome our community through our doors and showcase the incredible work being done here every day.

July was one of our busiest months all year.
While these numbers reflect the work of our office, we never lose sight of what they truly represent: lives lived and families forever changed.
On behalf of the Lehigh County Coroner's Office & Forensic Center, we extend our heartfelt thoughts and deepest condolences to every family and loved one who experienced the loss of someone dear to them. It is our privilege to serve our community with compassion, dignity, and respect during life's most difficult moments.

Good morning, everyone- following some questions, the office received earlier last week regarding one of our public death announcements, I wanted to take a moment to explain an important part of the medicolegal death investigation process. I hope this brief explanation helps clarify the difference between the Coroner's determination of the manner of death and the criminal process that may follow. Thank you!
