🥁 DRUMROLL PLEASE… 🥁

The answer is…

✨ 2000 ✨

Yep — both of us originally started working at the Chrome in 2000. 😳

Back then we were just two young kids working at a restaurant, probably thinking about our weekend plans and definitely not thinking, “Hey, someday we’re going to own this place together.” 😂

But life is funny like that.

The Chrome has been part of our story for a LONG time — from employees, to dating, to marriage, to kids, to now running AK’s Chrome Kitchen together. 💜

It’s more than just a restaurant to us.
It’s where a whole lot of our story started.

Thanks for playing along and guessing! We’ll be sharing more little employee throwbacks and behind-the-scenes stories soon. 👀

🚨 YES, WE’RE OPEN. YES, WE’RE STILL BACK HERE. 🚨

You may have noticed the giant white tent and trailer set up in the Bomgaars parking lot today…which makes AK’s a little hard to see and even harder to get to.

And apparently the parking lot needed another food option today, too. 🙃

Meanwhile, your locally owned, tax-paying, year-round restaurant is still right here—open, cooking and hoping you’ll make the extra effort to find us!
