This week, was a little bit different for me. I was contacted a couple of months ago by Icing Smiles. An organization that I had sent in my information to, where families can apply to have a Baker make them a cake, typically for a child or sibling of a child with a medical diagnosis of some sort.
I had applied last year, and this was my first request, and I'm so glad I was able to fulfill it. This cake was for a sweet little fighter, turning 4 tomorrow. "Princesses and pink" were the main requests. She was in awe when she saw it this morning. Which is all I could have wanted! Happy Birthday Sweet, Brinley!

After I got back in the van, and they pulled away. I broke down. I am so blessed to have 4, healthy children. I can't imagine the sadness and stress that having a sick child puts on a family. When you, as a parent, want nothing to do but take it for them, but you can't. Just a reminder to slow down and enjoy life. We don't know what's in store for us, but I know the writer of my story, and that His plans are good, Engen if we can't always understand them. 🩷💜
