When we decide to close the coffee trailer, it is never a decision we make lightly.

We base each decision on the weather information available and our past sales on similar days. Forecasts can change, but every day we close costs us money—the trailer’s expenses continue whether we are serving or not. Setting up and closing down also takes about an hour at every location.

The coffee trailer is our only income outside of Social Security, which does not cover our everyday living expenses. Most of what the trailer earns goes directly back into operating the business. If anything remains at the end of the month, it helps cover the difference.

We love what we do, but most of all, we love serving you. We simply wanted to share a little insight into how these difficult decisions are made.
